The future of collegiate libraries is unfolding at UCF, Florida’s Technological University. With February’s unveiling of the Digital Exploration Center (DEC), John C. Hitt Library’s fourth floor has transformed into an experiential hub for digital innovation and creative exploration. The premier space invites students, faculty and staff to leverage the latest tech — including an immersive projection studio, high-performance computers, a podcast studio and collaborative spaces — to develop everything from digital projects to complex, data-driven research. The DEC builds on UCF’s ever-growing innovation ecosystem, expanding opportunities for both research and creative production.
