Graphic design is the art of effectively communicating ideas, experiences, or other information through visual and textual content. Some examples of graphic content include flyers, brochures, presentation slides, email newsletters, logos, social media graphics, digital illustrations, and many more. The visual elements of this content depend heavily on colors, shapes, images, typography, and layout to convey information and evoke emotions or meaning from the audience.

Regardless of the type of graphics you are creating, the accessibility standards regarding text formatting, color contrast, alt text when published online, etc. apply and should be considered when designing and developing graphics. Accessible graphics can assist those affected with low vision, color blindness, dyslexia, or who use screen readers.

NOTE: “Font Styles” guide still to be added.
