The Florida Board of Governors’ Trustee Nominating Committee is in search of potential members for the Boards of Trustees at the University of Central Florida and Florida’s 10 other state universities.

Each state university has a 13-member Board of Trustees responsible for cost-effective policy and for implementing and maintaining high-quality education programs consistent with the university’s mission. The Boards of Trustees also develop processes to meet state policy, budgeting and education standards.

“The Florida Board of Governors would like leaders from all sectors and all backgrounds to apply for these trustee positions, individuals who will support the university they serve and who also will support the goals and priorities of the State University System of Florida,” said Morteza “Mori” Hosseini, chair of the Trustee Nominating Committee.

Those interested in serving on UCF’s Board of Trustees must complete the specific Florida Board of Governors’ application form available at www.flbog.edu and submit it to the address indicated.

The deadline for submission of applications for all vacancies is 5 p.m. Monday, November 8.

Applications received after the deadline will not be considered, and applications should not be sent to the individual universities for processing.
