The University of Central Florida will host a game day briefing for local residents on Tuesday, Aug. 17, as it prepares to host its fourth season of football games on campus.

The meeting will be at 8 a.m. in room 117 of the Teaching Academy on UCF’s main campus. Free parking for attendees will be available in Garage A, located at UCF’s University Boulevard entrance.

UCF is hosting the game day briefing as part of the university’s longstanding effort to be good neighbors.  Al Harms, a UCF vice president and chair of the game day executive committee, will update residents on game day policies and answer their questions.

Harms will discuss game day traffic flow, parking plans, tailgating policies, security and other topics. Most game day policies and procedures will be similar to those in effect last season. One significant change is that UCF will be hosting its first weeknight game on campus. That game is scheduled to kick off at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6.

The Knights, looking to play in their fourth bowl game in six years, will host their first of six home games at 6 p.m. Sept. 4 against South Dakota. For more information about game days, go to www.UCFGameDay.com.
