St. Petersburg Bowl officials announced on Sunday evening that Rutgers has been chosen as the Big East representative to face UCF in the ‘Bowl By The Bay’ on Dec. 19 at 8 p.m. at Tropicana Field. Both UCF and Rutgers bring identical 8-4 records into the game, with the Knights finishing second in Conference USA’s East Division and Rutgers tied for fourth in the eight-team Big East Conference.Tickets for the game have been moving briskly all week in Orlando and fans who have not all ready ordered them from UCF should do so now at UCFBowl.com.
“We are pleased to be playing a team from the Big East Conference, so close to our fan base in St. Petersburg,” UCF head coach George O’Leary said. “It should be a great game for our fans to enjoy next Saturday night.”
