UPDATE: 5:25 p.m.: Garage B has reopened after being temporarily closed this afternoon while authorities investigated a unattended package.
The UCF Police Department and Orange County Sheriff’s Office said the package found on the north side of Garage B, which is the garage located across from the Recreation and Wellness Center, is safe. It was an empty gift box that a student had left on the north side of the garage. She came back to retrieve the package
The entrances to Garage B are open, and vehicles can leave at this time. Other campus roadways and buildings were not affected by the incident.
