For the second consecutive year, the University of Central Florida has been named one of the nation’s 100 best-value colleges and universities by Kiplinger’s magazine.

UCF ranks 39th on the Kiplinger’s 2012 list, which includes colleges that combine excellent economic value with an outstanding education.

The magazine also reworked its scoring system to give more weight to criteria it considers crucial to academic value, such as the percentage of students who return for their sophomore year and the four-year graduation rate.

The annual rankings appear in Kiplinger’s February issue, released this week on newsstands and at http://www.kiplinger.com/links/college.

The latest rankings reflect UCF’s commitment to provide students with access to an affordable, high-quality education.

In 2011, The Princeton Review recognized a UCF education as one of the best values in the country. UCF also ranks among the top 25 colleges in the nation least likely to leave graduates in debt, according to a Newsweek article. In addition, Forbes magazine named UCF one of the top 50 most-affordable colleges and universities in the nation.
