Dr. James Coleman, vice provost of research at Rice University, will attend an open meeting on campus today from 3:15 to 4:45 p.m. at the UCF Teaching Academy, Room 117.

Dr. Coleman previously was vice chancellor for research and director of the Office of Research at the University of Missouri, Columbia. Dr. Coleman received a B.S. degree in Forestry from the University of Maine, Orono, and a Ph.D. from Yale University’s School of Forestry and Environmental Studies.

Three other finalists vying to be the University of Central Florida’s next provost will also take part in on-campus interviews this month. They are Dr. Ray Alden (April 26), Dr. Richard DeMillo (April 22) and Dr. Tony Waldrop (April 29).
