UCF has created the Department of Sustainability and Energy Management, within its Facilities & Safety division, to dedicate resources to improving energy and water efficiency and conservation on campus. This reorganization will build on the successes of UCF’s former Center for Energy and Sustainability.

“It’s fantastic that the university is putting a heightened emphasis on sustainability,” Energy Manager David Norvell said. “We have a great team in place that has pioneered many renewable and sustainability projects for UCF during the past several years. I look forward to building on that with our newly formed department.”
