University of Central Florida West Coast alumni might have thought they were “California Dreaming” last month when UCF President John Hitt traveled to the state to visit alumni and donors.
“We felt very lucky to get the personal attention,” said Lauren Berger, who attended a function at Hyde Lounge in Hollywood. The 2006 graduate is the CEO of her own company, Intern Queen Inc., an intern placement agency. “Having him here was great because it encouraged a lot of people to get involved.”
Hitt visited alumni chapters in Los Angeles and San Diego that boast more than 1,800 members. He also met privately with several individual donors. There are about 40 official UCF alumni groups and more than 200,000 alumni around the country. Continue
