Management Professor Robert Folger, Ph.D., has been named the inaugural Distinguished Alumni Endowed Professor in Business Ethics.Folger joined UCF in 2003 as the Gordon J. Barnett Professor of Business Ethics. His research areas include determinants and consequences of ethical decision-making practices, layoffs, trust in the workplace, perceptions of unfair treatment, extraordinary performance and employee retribution. In his new position, he will continue to enhance business ethics research and teaching. The endowment was made possible by a generous gift from Stanley C. Horton, a 1973 graduate of the UCF College of Business Administration and a member of its Hall of Fame. With more than 35 years of experience in the energy business, Horton is currently an independent energy consultant serving clients in both the United States and Europe. He is also the founder and principal owner of Semoran Holdings, LLC, a private company involved in investing principally in energy, real estate and water remediation.
