Dr. Tadayuki Hara, associate dean of finance & administration at UCF’s Rosen College of Hospitality Management, will teach a free online course on tourism industry analysis. The six-week class will cover various topics, including tourism statistics, economic impact modeling and Tourism Satellite Accounts (TSA). Mr. Oliver Herrmann, director of Tourism Statistics & Tourism Satellite Accounts for the United Nations World Tourism Organization will also be a guest speaker.
This massive open online course (MOOC) is powered by the Canvas Network, which offers courses from a broad range of institutions and organizations worldwide. In addition, it’s the only UCF MOOC currently available on the network. When the course was previously offered, Dr. Hara taught over 540 students from around the world, the majority of whom were from Western Europe.
