Suspicious Package Deemed Harmless; All Roads Now Open

Police say that a suspicious package found near the Visitor and Parking Information Center at the University of Central Florida this afternoon was harmless. All campus roads and parking lots are now open.

The Visitor and Parking Information Center and Progress Energy Welcome Center were evacuated this afternoon but have reopened. All other campus buildings remained open throughout the day.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad and UCF Police Department responded to the scene.
