Due to the severe weather expected to impact Central Florida, all University of Central Florida campuses will close at 6 p.m. this evening, Jan. 25. The university will resume normal operations at 6 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26.
Classes at UCF’s Cocoa and Palm Bay campuses in Brevard County are canceled as of 5 p.m. tonight; classes at all other UCF campuses are canceled as of 6 p.m. tonight.
Essential employees may be required to report to work by their supervisors. All employees should stay in contact with their supervisors for updates for their specific areas.
Campus shuttle service will operate normally until 7 p.m., after which a reduced operation will continue. This includes service to the Rosen College and Lake Nona campuses.
Administrative Leave will be granted to USPS, A&P and Executive Service employees and faculty members for the time that they are unable to work their normal schedules between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. due to the closure. Employees on leave without pay or in a non-pay status are not eligible for administrative leave pay. OPS hourly employees do not receive pay for time not worked, therefore, are not eligible for administrative leave.
For Orange County, the most severe weather is expected from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. Please take all necessary safety precautions.
