UCF students Leonard Gordon and Miles Burghoff placed third at the National Guard FLW College Fishing bass tournament, winning a total of $4,000 in prize money for the university and their club, Reel Knights.
Gordon and Burghoff will go on to represent the university in the National Guard FLW College Fishing regional Championship, which will be televised nationwide on Versus. If they win the Regional Championship, both UCF and the students’ club will receive a $25,000 donation.
National Guard FLW College Fishing is competitive bass-fishing program open to all full-time students at four-year colleges and universities. It consists of 20 qualifying events, five regional championships and the national championship.
