Regional health care leaders will discuss the Affordable Care Act at the ninth-annual State of Health Care in Central Florida Symposium at the University of Central Florida.
The public is invited to attend the symposium at the FAIRWINDS Alumni Center, across the street from the UCF Arena, from 6:15 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 27.
Panelists will discuss the implications of the Affordable Care Act – the major health care reform law passed by Congress in 2010 – for Florida’s health care industry and its citizens.
Speakers on the panel include Randy Hartley, chief administrative officer for Nemours Children’s Hospital; Thomas Moore, southeast regional vice president–public sector, education and labor markets for United Healthcare; Imtiaz Sattaur, president and CEO of Physician’s United Plan; and Bridget Walters, corporate director for patient accounting for Orlando Health.
Aaron Liberman, professor of health services administration at UCF, will serve as the panel moderator.
The event also includes a networking session from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. Both the networking session and the symposium are free for all guests.
UCF’s Health Services Administration Alumni Chapter is hosting the symposium, which annually gathers health care leaders for discussions on challenges, opportunities and innovations in today’s health care industry.
