Nearly 20 students from the University of Central Florida’s Nicholson School of Communication have completed WUCF TV’s inaugural practicum course. Eight students have been selected from this course for the WUCF summer internship program.
WUCF Summer Interns get unprecedented access and opportunity as they work side by side with professional staff and get extended, personalized attention.
During the semester-long practicum, students learned the basics about public media and the functions and mission of WUCF, Central Florida PBS. This for-credit course is offered by the University of Central Florida’s Nicholson School of Communication.
Students in the course also made an impact in the Central Florida community by volunteering to assist in station produced local programs, live fundraising nights and community engagement events like WUCF’s “Be My Neighbor Day in Winter Park.”
