Yes, each admitted student who wishes to attend Scholars Day must register. Students may list family members or parents attending with them under their registration guest count. Space is limited. We want to make certain that everyone gets the attention they need, and fewer people means more one-on-one attention for you. So, if you need to cancel, please let us know so we can allow others to attend. A cancellation link appears in your confirmation email that was sent to you when you signed up.

You will choose your own sessions based upon the times they are offered. Many of our sessions do not repeat, and some even overlap, so you’ll have to decide which sessions best suit your interests.
Yes! A limited number of campus tours are offered. Because there are so many activities for you to choose from, your tour may be shorter than a regular visit, but we’ll squeeze as much information in as possible.
Housing tours are self-guided, giving you the flexibility to view only those communities that interest you. We’ll post signs on campus directing you to our housing areas. Once you get there, a member of our housing staff will be on hand to answer questions and show you around. Not every housing community is open, but you’ll be able to view a broad selection.
And finally, our tours do not visit the John C. Hitt Library, Recreation & Wellness Center, the Burnett Honors College, or our bookstore. These locations will be open, however, and we encourage you to stop in during your free time.
One pre-loaded dining retail card valued at $10 will be provided to each student attending Scholars Day—free of charge. The card is valid at a variety of restaurants and food vendors in the Student Union and around campus, including our all-you-care-to-eat dining locations. The card must be surrendered at the time of use and a balance will not carry over, even if the full value of the card is not used. One card will be issued to each registered student. Replacement cards may not be issued if lost.
Scholars Day and other Open Houses for Admitted Students offer more information about UCF’s campus, programs, housing, and student life than a regular visit. The daily Campus Visit Experience provides a tour of the campus—tours are included in Scholars Day, but may be condensed due to time constraints. At Scholars Day, you will also learn about academics, student activities, housing, the Burnett Honors College, LEAD Scholars Program, and more… and you’ll have more access to advisors, faculty, administrators, and current UCF students.
Your registration confirmation email contains a link to edit your registration. We’d hate to see it, but if you must cancel, you can do so there.

Once you arrive on our main campus, park in Garage A, free of charge, then walk to the Student Union. There will be signs in place to help you find your way and students stationed nearby to direct you. Once inside the Student Union, go to the Pegasus Ballroom. UCF is primarily a pedestrian campus, so there is no transportation between the garage and the Student Union.
Check-in happens from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. and the event runs until 3:00 p.m. Arrive early to avoid waiting in line.
We encourage you to dress in layers to adjust to the changes in temperature from the heat outside to the air-conditioned buildings. There will be a lot of walking and Orlando weather is unpredictable, so wear comfortable shoes and pack an umbrella, just in case.
A limited number of wheelchairs are available for rent in the Student Union. There is no charge to use a wheelchair, but a photo ID will be collected as collateral.
Shuttle and golf cart service is not offered during Scholars Day, and we don’t have a tram or monorail. 😉

Yes. Admissions representatives will be available to answer questions throughout the day. A table will be set up in our Enrollment Planning Showcase so you can pay the $200 enrollment deposit. Deposits can be paid with a debit or credit card and by check or money order. Cash is not accepted.
