This year, UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management class of ’96 graduate, Alinda Ramos, made the list. Ramos is the Vice President and Director of Operations for Premier Show Group, a company that handles event planning for trade shows.  She was nominated and selected for her positive attitude, outstanding professional achievement and commitment to community service.

In addition to her post with Premier Show Group, Ramos serves on the Event Management Advisory Board for the Rosen College of Hospitality Management.  This board helps guide, shape and support our successful Event Management degree program. Additionally, she finds time to also work with UnitedArts of Central Florida’s SmARTboard leadership program and serves on the Red Chair Project Committee.

Ramos describes that Rosen College prepared her for her career.  “It gave me a broad perspective of the hospitality industry allowing me to realize that event planning was the area that I would excel in and enjoy most.”  While pursuing her studies, she played flute with the Marching Knights and the Wind Ensemble and loved attending football games.

We are delighted that Ramos supports Rosen College in such an active way.  She finds this connection important because it gives her an opportunity to share her experience as an event management professional with students.  “I remember, as a student, having a great appreciation for hearing real-life experience from veterans in the industry.  It was invigorating and insightful.”

We congratulate her on this wonderful achievement.  Read more here: 2010 40 under 40 winners – Orlando Business Journal.
