A workshop on “Changing Destructive Behaviors Through Motivational Interviewing” will be held Friday, May 21, at the Fairwinds Alumni Center on UCF’s main campus.

Hosted by the UCF Social Work Alumni Chapter, the workshop will feature Michael G. Rank, associate professor at the University of South Florida. Rank was recently named the 2010 National Association of Social Workers Florida Chapter State Educator of the Year.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. with a continental breakfast. The workshop will take place from 9 a.m. to noon. Admission is $5 for students, $20 for UCF Alumni Association members and $30 for non-members.

The UCF Social Work Alumni Chapter is the product of a partnership between the College of Health and Public Affairs and the UCF Alumni Association, offering networking, mentoring, fellowships, and continued education to the alumni and students of the School of Social Work.
