For the first time since Bright House Networks Stadium opened in 2007, UCF will host a weeknight home game this season. The game is scheduled to kick off at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, against the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and it will be broadcast on ESPN.

On that day, UCF will conduct classes on the main campus and in the adjoining Research Park through 12:20 p.m. to allow for the completion of classes that begin at 11:30 a.m. Additionally, the university will close for normal operations at 12:30 p.m. with various support functions remaining in place similar to Saturday game policy.  Please speak to your supervisor about how your area will handle operations after 12:30 p.m.  Parking and traffic considerations for this Wednesday night game drove these decisions as per policy that has  been in place since the stadium opening.

Similarly, UCF classes at the Rosen College of Hospitality Management and other regional campuses will end at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, with normal university operations closing at 3:00 p.m. to allow for the completion of most classes at those sites and still support student, faculty and staff member participation at the football game.

The campus Gold Zone lots will open for game day parking at 2 p.m. Staff and faculty members and students who typically park in “Gold Zone” lots and Parking Garage B need to plan ahead and park in alternative locations (Red and Blue zone lots) or be prepared to move their vehicles from Gold Zone lots and Parking Garage B prior to 12:30 p.m.

Vehicles displaying valid UCF parking passes/decals and valid football parking credentials may stay in the designated Gold Zone lot throughout the day; however, unauthorized cars in those lots will be towed beginning at 12:30 p.m. Parking Garage B will be reserved for specifically authorized individuals on official university business.

The Gold Zone is located on the north side of campus, and it includes the C and D lots and garages behind the Engineering and Health and Public Affairs buildings. To view a map of the Gold Zone, click here: http://ucfathletics.cstv.com/brighthouse/goldzone-parking.html.
