Burnett was a four-year starter at UCF and was skilled as a cornerback, punt returner and kickoff returner. His career highlights include 16 interceptions and three punts and two kickoffs returned for touchdowns.
Burnett was a fifth-round selection and taken with the 168th overall pick. Financial terms of the three-year contract were not released.
