The UCF Board of Trustees honored three former trustees and welcomed three new members on Thursday.
Trustees awarded emeritus status to charter board members Patrick Christiansen and Conrad Santiago, both whom had served since July 2001. Emeritus status recognizes their distinguished service to the university and provides them with a lifetime link to the university.
Board members also honored Alan Florez, who had served on the board for about four years.
“All three of these folks gave incredible service to this university for a long time,” said Board of Trustees Chair Rick Walsh.
