The UCF Knights will kick off the 2009 season Saturday, Sept. 5, when they will face Samford at 7:30 p.m. at Bright House Networks Stadium.
Based on the success of the first two seasons on campus, most of the game day policies and procedures this year will be familiar to fans. The most significant change involves the time when campus parking lots will open and tailgating can begin.
For the Samford game and others that kick off at 6 p.m. or later, parking lots will open and tailgating can begin at noon. For games that kick off before 6 p.m., parking lots will open and tailgating can begin at 8 a.m.
For the Samford game, no tailgating set up can begin prior to noon.
Although the length of UCF’s tailgating period has been slightly reduced, the new policy enables fans to continue enjoying UCF’s outstanding tradition of on-campus tailgating. The policy is consistent with what many other universities around the country allow.
