Students interested in learning more about how they can participate in the campus environmental movement are invited to attend this month’s E.Co meeting, which will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 7, in the Student Union’s Key West Ballroom, rooms C and D.

E.Co is the UCF Student Government Association’s Environmental Coalition. The organization builds a stronger environmental movement on campus and promotes a more sustainable student body and campus.

Opportunities available within E.Co appeal to a wide variety of student interests. At the upcoming meeting, students will have the chance to get involved with other “green” organizations, learn how to coordinate initiatives, share ideas for new and existing initiatives and meet other students with similar passion for the environment and sustainability.

The coalition has several new initiatives and projects planned for the upcoming year.  Many of these events will be discussed further at the meeting. New initiatives include National Recycling Week, a campus-wide bike sharing program, the Green Graduate Certification Program and the Green Waves Electronic Music Festival.
