Hispanic Heritage Month at the University of Central Florida, which starts Monday, Sept. 17, will include a campus parade, a “So You Think You Can Rhumba?” dance contest, a Latino version of Jeopardy! and other cultural events and speakers.
The Parade of Flags will usher in the month’s events at noon Monday. Participants will begin the parade outside the Student Union.
The month honors the impact and influence of Hispanics in America, and celebrates their cultural traditions. About 18 percent of UCF’s students are Hispanic.
