A recent study analyzed nearly 400 colleges for their affordability and academic quality. UCF was one of six universities to make the "Best Colleges of the South" List.

Alicja Copik, a UCF professor of medicine, and her team of researchers have been working with natural killers, or NK cells, to develop new therapies to treat the coronavirus.

Hispanic Serving Institutions, or HSIs, are colleges and universities where Hispanic students comprise at least 25 percent of the full-time equivalent student body. In 2019, the U.S. Department of Education formally designated UCF an HSI institution.

Go Baby Go!, a program formed within UCF’s Department of Physical Therapy, built specialized, ride-in toy cars for four toddlers with disabilities. The program is dedicated to “providing innovative mobility solutions for children in Central Florida.”

UCF Restores, the University’s nonprofit clinical research center and treatment clinic, now provides free bilingual telehealth mental therapy sessions to residents of Azalea Park.

This weekend UCF will have a payload flying in Virgin Galactic’s SpaceShipTwo, and then as soon as next week another research experiment will be flying as part of a NASA mission with Virgin Orbit’s Launcher One.

Barbara Gannon, a UCF History professor, is leading a student project to record the stories of veterans. The project has continued through the pandemic with the interviews being done remotely.

UCF has teamed up with United Cerebral Palsy of Central Florida for a project to research how artificial intelligence can be used to teach children on the autism spectrum how to code, and also recognize social cues.

As founders of One Kid Orlando, former UCF football players Anthony Roberson and Jordan Johnson work to enrich the lives of children in the Central Florida area.
