Athletes, journalists and sports experts gathered in Tucson, AZ to attend two-days of workshops and discussions regarding women and sports.

UCF Professor Dr. Richard Lapchick, director of The Institute for Diversity and Ethics in Sport (TIDES) and the chair of the DeVos Sport Business Management Program spoke at the ESPNW Women and Sports Summit and discussed the challenges and accomplishments affecting women athletes today.

He appeared with Nancy Hogshead-Makar, a former Olympian and one of the foremost exponents of gender equity in education.
