Members of the UCF President’s Circle – donors who make annual gifts between $1,000 and $24,999 – were acknowledged for their contributions to the university last night at a reception in the UCF Art Gallery.

Surrounded by a collaborative show entitled “The UCF S.T.E.A.M. Exhibition” – which presents paintings, posters, prints, photographs and other artwork created by UCF art students in collaboration with UCF scientists – donors were reminded of the power of partnerships as they were thanked by President John C. Hitt and Foundation CEO Robert Holmes.

Dr. Debra Reinhart, Assistant Professor for Research and Commercialization, and Carla Poindexter, Associate Professor of Art, explained the goals of the S.T.E.A.M. program and attendees had the opportunity to meet art students Lujan Perez and MJ Torrecampo (pictured), who collaborated on a painting of two custodians, and Ph.D. candidate and engineer Stephanie Bolyard, the STEM researcher who collaborated with all the painting students as they developed ideas.
