The National Association of Graduate-Professional Students (NAGPS) recently recognized a University of Central Florida student and graduate organization for their commitment to graduate and professional education.

The UCF Graduate Student Association was presented with the Graduate and Professional Student Organization Program of the Year award. This award recognizes an organization with an excellent program.

Sergio Tafur, a doctoral graduate of the Physics program, was honored as the New Member of the Year. This award is given to an individual that has joined the NAGPS since last national conference and has contributed extensively to the organization or his or her local Graduate Student Association.

The NAGPS is an organization for graduate and professional students nationwide that is committed to developing a member network to connect students and their associations, providing resources to empower members and advocating locally and nationally on their behalf.
