The University of Central Florida’s Arboretum will host a Summer Harvest Feast on Thursday and Friday for students and the community.

The first 20 interested participants are invited to select and take home a type of produce from the Arboretum’s community garden to use in preparing a dish for a potluck feast.

Produce includes eggplant, tomatoes, passion fruit, spinach, sorrel, green beans and other vegetables. Also available are several types of herbs and peppers.

The ingredients are available between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Thursday, July 11. Food dishes should be brought back to the Arboretum Nature Pavilion at noon Friday to share.

To reserve your spot, RSVP to and let organizers know you will be participating.
