Students had the opportunity to learn about the services and resources available in the Ferrell Commons area at the “Ferrell Commons Carnival” on August 28. Over 300 students visited information tables and enjoyed games, prizes, giveaways, food, cotton candy, snow-cones, and popcorn. UCF Dining Services and Brooklyn Pizza also participated in the event and Link Loot was given to first-year students who attended.
Student comments included, “It’s great to know that your services are available” and “I’m glad the different offices do things [resources fairs] like this….it helps me to know what’s available.” Career Services, in collaboration with Housing and Residence Life, Student Legal Services, Student Conduct, Dispute Resolution, Counseling Center, Health Services, Student Disability Services, Pre-Professional Advising, and Experiential Learning, hosted the first Ferrell Commons Carnival.
