UCF is spearheading what promises to be a new and exciting event, Civitas Week, which will be held November 2-8. The goal is to promote peace, cooperation and civility throughout campus and participant’s lives. Civitas Week offers a variety of lectures, activities and programs ranging from “Anger Management” to “Violence in Intimate Relationships” and “Civil Communities Through Spiritual Dialogue.” Each day will have a different theme as follows:

  • Monday, Nov. 2: Classroom
  • Tuesday, Nov. 3: Environmental (Facilities)
  • Wednesday, Nov. 4: Community
  • Thursday, Nov. 5: Interpersonal Relationships
  • Friday, Nov. 6: Workplace
  • Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 7-8: 1st Timer Mediation Training

    Civitas Week is sponsored by the Student Development and Enrollment Service (SDES) Civility Campaign Horizontal Team, which is co-led by Patty Farris and Jennifer Wright. The program received funding from the UCF Parent Fund and the Student Government Association.
