Cyndia Muñiz, assistant director for Multicultural Academic and Support Services in the Division of Student Development and Enrollment Services, is receiving recognition and awards from the Central Florida community.

She was selected for the “2015 Women’s Achievement” award in the category of diversity. The Women’s Achievement Awards, hosted by the Women’s Executive Council of Orlando, honors outstanding executive and professional women who serve as community leaders across various areas in Central Florida. The awards ceremony, held on September 28 at the Hilton DoubleTree Orlando, will be an inspirational evening to celebrate, honor, and empower women in the Central Florida community.

Muñiz was also named one of “40 Under 40” by the Orlando Business Journal. The 40 Under 40 awards recognize Central Florida’s top professionals under the age of 40 who have made significant achievements in their career. The reception will take place on October 15 at Audi North Orlando.

Muñiz said, “I am truly honored to be recognized by such prestigious organizations and am happy to represent UCF in the Central Florida community. I am simply trying to pay it forward and am grateful for these celebratory moments.”
