The University of Central Florida Alumni Association is hosting “Knight on Park” on Thursday, Feb. 25 from 6:30-9 p.m. on Park Avenue in Winter Park.

A large number of alumni association members are expected to attend the evening’s festivities, which include interactive games and door prizes as attendees visit four exclusive locations: The Wine Room, Spice Modern Steakhouse, 310 Park South and Park Plaza Gardens. Guests can indulge in free appetizers and drink specials at each stop as they progress through the locations with their “passport” and vie for the grand prize.

Since 59 percent of alumni members reside in Central Florida, the alumni association believes that Winter Park’s causal ambiance is the ideal location for Knight on Park.

The alumni association’s goal is to continue fostering positive relationships with its alumni. In this effort, six alumni chapters and clubs have joined together to host this event, including the College of Business Administration, College of Engineering and Computer Science, College of Health and Public Affairs, Nicholson School of Communication, Rosen College of Hospitality Management and the Young Alumni Club.

“Knight on Park will allow alumni chapter and club members to interact in an entertaining social setting and learn more about the other groups,” said Tom Messina, executive director of the UCF Alumni Association. “Members will have the opportunity to network, ultimately leading to more successful collaborative alumni chapter and club events in the future.”

Alumni members can register in advance (and save $5) at www.ucfalumni.com. The cost for non-members is $10 at the door. More information, including parking, can be found at www.ucfalumni.com.

All proceeds from the evening will benefit the First Generation in College Matching Grant Program, which provides need-based grants to first-generation undergraduate students enrolled in state universities.
