After defeating Eastern Carolina University, UCF climbed in both the Associated Press and coaches' top 25 polls this week. The Knights rose two spots to No. 11 in the AP poll and three spots to No. 12 in the coaches' poll.

With the flu season steadily approaching, UCF has launched a mobile flu-shot cart, which will travel around campus to deliver the influenza vaccine to faculty, staff and students upon request. University officials say getting a flu shot is even more important this year amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

Along with mask mandates and required symptom self-checks for students and staff, UCF also has its own contact tracing teams in place to help keep coronavirus cases down.

COVID-19 is forcing some changes this year in anatomy labs at UCF College of Medicine and many other medical schools across the country. UCF is doing a combination of virtual lectures and in-person labs.

UCF's Field of Memories flag exhibit honors the memories of college students who have died by suicide. Karen Hofmann, director of UCF's Counseling and Psychological Services, which sponsors the exhibit, says the display is a reminder for students to check in on their own and others mental health.

UCF’s Downtown Innovation District launched in January, and since, targeted companies are flocking to be a part of it.

The Knights Helping Knights Pantry has pivoted its operations during the pandemic in order to safely serve students in need of food.
