Late Knights reached the checkered flag with approximately 1,000 people in attendance at its “Race Knight” event.  Recently, Knights came together in the Student Union to participate in the entertainment and activities.

The evening Race Knight-themed entertainment included Race to the Top inflatables, Spider Zone, Bath Tub Racing and Horse Racing. Knights could feel like they were at the actual races by playing the Daytona 500 arcade game. More video games were available through GameStop, such as Xbox 360 Kinect. Other activities included the Text and Drive Simulator, fun photos, arts and crafts. Attendees could also dance to the beat of the top 40 hits.

The first 200 attendees who raced to the entrance received customized street signs. Everyone had the opportunity to receive free T-shirts, Late Knights lanyards and totes, prizes, free Smoothie Kings and free food at midnight. Throughout the event, Knights could talk with registered student organizations to learn more about UCF involvement.

The next LK  is themed “Pirates” will be on April 15. Late Knights is a monthly student-run event at the University of Central Florida providing free admission, food, fun and giveaways.
