The Rosen College of Hospitality Management takes great pride in the relationships Dr. Wilfried Iskat cultivates and maintains with hospitality industry leaders.
To thank select executives who have demonstrated their dedication to our educational program by way of time and talents, Dr. Iskat has developed a new distinction: The Rosen College of Hospitality Management Mentor.
During the Spring 2011 Semester, Dr. Iskat honored:
Jay Leonard, General Manager, Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Resort
Robert Brauner, Director of Security and Safety Services, Rosen Shingle Creek
Scott Tripoli, General Manager, Crowne Plaza, Orlando Universal
All of the managers have worked with Dr. Iskat’s students multiple times, providing advice and guidance. They have offered access to consulting assignments and worked with graduate students in solving real-life operations issues in their respective hotels. Dr. Iskat describes Brauner as the “guiding spirit” who for several years has introduced undergraduate students to the topic of hospitality loss prevention.
In describing his appreciation, Dr. Iskat shares, “These gentlemen give us their private time as an investment in the future of our hospitality leaders-to-be and allow us access to their properties as industry laboratories.”
Each recipient was given a custom polo shirt featuring the mentor logo and a certificate of appreciation.
