The Kenneth G. Dixon School of Accounting recently held the second annual Women in Accounting Symposium at the Live Oak Room on the UCF main campus. 108 attendees were present, including professionals from accounting firms and UCF faculty and students. The event was chaired by Jessica Sofranec, and aimed to provide professional and educational development opportunities to future female accounting professionals. Speakers discussed the challenges of having children and a career, appropriate workplace interactions and attire, and the keys to being successful in an accounting career, among other topics.
