Griffin-Kitzerow will step into the new role on July 4. Carl Metzger ’03MS, who has served as chief since 2018, will remain the associate vice president of public safety.

Employees were recognized for reaching their five, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 45 years of service milestones, and recent retirees were also honored. The university also presented Employee Excellence awards.

Employees, faculty, and students will be recognized at three separate ceremonies in the Pegasus Ballroom.

The investment, which includes hiring up to 36 new faculty, will help support the region’s economic vitality as Orlando was recently recognized as a top tech hub.

The new members are all distinguished business and community leaders.

The renovated floor will serve as a hub for innovation, collaboration and individual focus.

Desnoes will oversee the annual five-year budgeting process for the university as well as working with the Office of the Provost.

Gifts made to the university on the annual global day of giving — this year on Dec. 3 — can lead to a better future for our community and beyond.

The innovative space offers state-of-the-art tools for Knights who need to capture videos, a new headshot and record podcasts.
