Established in 1976, the CSC was the first of its kind in the state and has become a leader and model for early childhood development centers at other universities. For more than 30 years, the UCF Creative School for Children has provided a safe, convenient and nurturing place for the children of UCF students, faculty, staff and alumni.

The school allows student and employee parents to enroll their children during the hours when they are working or attending class.  This creates an affordable and convenient way of encouraging parents to continue their education, while creating a positive and encouraging environment for students, faculty and staff with children.  The school offers both part-time and full-time sessions, providing the affordable flexibility that is important for a student schedule and budget.

The CSC offers enrollment to children who are toilet-trained and between the ages of two and five by September 1st of the year attending.  The school is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.  It remains one of only a handful of preschools that maintains accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
