Congratulations UCF!
UCF faculty, staff, administrators and other volunteers raised $39,792 for the Greater Orlando 2009-10 Heart Walk, the American Heart Association’s biggest annual fundraiser. That was enough to propel UCF to number three in the nation when it comes to raising money for this worthy cause.
The University of Michigan at Southfield, which raised $62,806 ranked first followed by the University of Alaska, which raised $40,049. UCF had more than 26 teams (465 people) that participated in the October event in downtown Orlando. The money raised by the volunteers was enough to rank UCF third in the Orlando-area behind two giant health-related organizations.
