Vice President for Research Elizabeth Klonoff announced a new website that recognizes some of UCF’s outstanding research faculty. The new NSF CAREER awards website recognizes faculty who have received the prestigious honor.
The National Science Foundation CAREER Awards recognize early career professionals with promising researchers who have the potential to serve as academic role models and lead their respective fields. These awards are among the most prestigious in the nation for up-and-coming faculty. Many recipients go on to receive big grants from government agencies.
The website also lists awardees going back as far as UCF records exist. New awardees will be recognized on this page moving forward as well. There also is information and links to the many services the Office of Research offers to help faculty prepare the kinds of applications necessary to be considered these kinds of national awards.
In a note to research faculty in this month’s InSight newsletter, Klonoff applauded faculty for their hard work.
“Faculty are the heart of our institution. They instruct our students, conduct the research and creative works that advance our society, and provide important consultation, expertise, and partnerships to the greater central Florida region,” Klonoff says.
