On March 2, 2022, UCF, in collaboration with the Parramore Education and Innovation District, held its first Black and Gold Takeover Day at Jones High School. The event introduced students to the many opportunities available to them at UCF through classroom presentations, spirit competitions, tabling from various registered student organizations and programs, a selfie station, photo opportunities with Knightro, and more!

This program was supported by Florida Blue, UCF Foundation, UCF Downtown, Student Development and Enrollment Services, and various departments across UCF. Special thanks to committee co-leads Mindy Mozena and Dr. DeShawn Chapman, and the university-wide committee for their commitment and support of this event.
