UCF’s Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy (FIEA) welcomed its seventh graduate game-development class on Aug. 23.

Sixty future programmers, producers and artists started the 16-month program at UCF’s Center For Emerging Media in downtown Orlando.

The students got their undergraduate degrees from schools such as George Mason University, Hofstra University and the University of Michigan.

In-state schools include UCF, University of Florida, Florida Atlantic University, Florida State University, Rollins College and the Florida Institute of Technology. They have come from all over the United States and as far away as Iran, Turkey and India.

The new class includes 21 producers, 21 artists and 18 programmers.
