Several College of Business Administration students won awards at the 46th Annual Collegiate DECA State Career Development Conference. The students competed in several competitions against other state teams and the overall UCF team won the highest available ranking, (four-stars) for chapter activities. Winners included:

  • Jessica Sofranec, recipient of the state outstanding student achievement award
  • Margo Beard and Melissa Blette, second place team for the advertising campaign event
  • Margo Beard, second place business-to-business marketing event
  • Estefania Martinez and Brittany Keating, second place, sports and entertainment marketing event
  • George Moreton – first place and Jessica Sofranec – third place, financial services marketing / management event
  • Melissa Blette – first place, travel and tourism marketing / management

    • DECA is an international organization for college students preparing for careers in marketing, merchandising, management, entrepreneurship, advertising, sales, hospitality, culinary arts, criminal justice and other business and marketing related areas. Its local chapters are a division of the Florida Association of Collegiate DECA.
