UCF's steel bridge team won first place for the second consecutive year.

A team of University of Central Florida students won the steel bridge competition and placed second overall at the American Society of Civil Engineers’ Southeast Student Conference.

The overall performance was the best ever for the ASCE’s UCF chapter. The UCF students won the steel bridge event for the second straight year and placed third in the concrete canoe competition.

Students from the steel bridge team will compete in the 2010 National Steel Bridge Competition at Purdue University in Indiana on May 28 and 29.
