According to the University of Mississippi Athletics, Jeff Ulmer, who has served as president of the UMAA Foundation since October of 2008, has resigned due to family considerations in order to accept a position closer to home. Ulmer, whose resignation at Ole Miss is effective June 26, has accepted a position as Senior Associate Athletics Director for Development at the University of Central Florida in Orlando.

“Jeff Ulmer is an experienced fund raiser,” said Ole Miss Athletics Director Pete Boone. “His organizational skills and processes brought a much-needed professional approach to our UMAA Foundation in the area of major gifts. We hate to lose him, but family always comes first and we support his decision. UCF is getting a very good person.”

At Ole Miss, Ulmer oversaw the UMAA Foundation’s development team, with a primary mission of reaching out to alumni, donors and fans across the state of Mississippi and around the country in an effort to secure private resources for capital projects and scholarship support.
