Forbes again has selected UCF as a one of America’s Best-in-State Employers for 2023, alongside influential national organizations — such as NASA, Google, Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman, all of which are key partners with our institution.

UCF ranks as one of the top two public university employers in Florida and one of the top public employers overall.

“Our people are our most precious asset, and we are grateful that each of our employees chooses UCF as their professional home,” says UCF President Alexander N. Cartwright. “We remain committed to continuing to invest in our people and building a workplace culture of compassion, belonging and support that enables us to attract and retain outstanding employees.”

UCF ranks No. 33 overall among Florida employers in the survey. Thousands of companies and institutions were considered for Forbes’ fifth-annual rankings, created in partnership with market research company Statista. More than 1,390 businesses with at least 500 employees nationwide made the list. Surveys were conducted anonymously, allowing 70,000 part- and full-time employees to freely share their thoughts.

Participants were asked whether they would recommend their employer to friends and family, and to evaluate their employer based on criteria including working conditions, diversity, salary, potential for development and company image. Respondents were also asked to assess employers beyond their own. They could evaluate employers that stood out positively or negatively in their state. Nationally, participants were able to rate employers anywhere within their respective industries, positively or negatively.
