The Career Services Majors Fair “Kinect to Your Future” attracted more than 400 students who circulated the Pegasus Ballroom engaging in major-related dialogue with college representatives. Students could get answers to their major-related questions such as program requirements, career paths and information on graduate programs within the college. The event provided students with opportunities to network with UCF faculty, staff, and fellow peers from various colleges.

Attendees could enjoy free food, music, games and prizes at the event. Students participating in the drawing for the Xbox Kinect Gaming system were required to converse with their respective departments and list two things learned from their interaction.

One undecided student learned that Physics may be his major of choice as “there is a diversity of job opportunities associated with the field.” Johnson Desir, a health services administration major and the winner of the Xbox, noted that he learned what types of careers he could pursue with his degree.

This annual event was sponsored by Career Services, Student Government Association and Delta Epsilon Iota. Game Stop and Microsoft Student Partners were also on hand to add some fun to the event.

Career Services is in the Division of Student Development and Enrollment Services.
